The International Surfing Association (ISA), founded in 1964, announces the decision to stage the olimpic surfing competitions at Teahupo’o tallies with Paris 2024’s ambition to spread the Games across France. It offers an opportunity to engage French overseas territories and their communities in the Olympic Games – for the first time in history – while showcasing France’s rich and diverse heritage.

Join the ISA Athletes Commision for more info about the competitions, eligibility, rules, qualifications, procedures and regulations. The ISA Athletes’ Commission was established in 2018 and consists of 7 athletes who play a vital role in representing the voice and interests of athletes on executive-level, sport-based decisions. The ISA AC’s mission is to consider matters as they relate to athletes and provide advice and recommendations to the ISA. The Chair of the ISA AC holds a position on the ISA Executive Committee to ensure that the athletes’ opinion is heard at the highest level of governance of Surfing.
